"Mick Mars, co-founder and lead guitarist of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe for the past 41 years, has announced today that due to his ongoing painful struggle with Ankylosing Spondylitis (A.S.), he will no longer be able to tour with the band. Mick will continue as a member of the band, but can no longer handle the rigors of the road. A.S. is an extremely painful and crippling degenerative disease, which affects the spine."

I'm surprised he didn't retire decades ago, I know he was having health problems even back then, I think he even shrunk a couple of inches because of his back issues. Dunno who can replace him, maybe the guitarist from Twisted Sister?

It's a shame. Was the only real likable member really. Good luck to him. Looks like the John 5 rumors are true.

The guy is quite amazing actually. I think he was only in Manson and Rob Zombie for the horror aspect of their shows. Besides metal he also plays country, bluegrass, swing, jazz, and flamenco. Saw him in a club over the summer. Was one of the most incredible guitar performances I’ve ever seen. Watch some YouTube videos of his solo shows. Plus, him and Nikki are good friends.
