The NFL teams are under orders not to sign Kap, probably from the Pentagon itself. The DOD spends a lot of money paying NFL teams to promote the military, have big ceremonies about the military before the games, have military presence at the stadium, wear uniforms with military emblems, etc etc. I guarantee the military is threatening not to pay any team that signs Kap and is using their power to blackmail them.
It's funny how right wingers will defend someone's right to hate speech against an entire group based on race, religion, sexual orientation etc, but they don't want someone to have the right to sit during the anthem. Hypocrites. For gods sake, it's just a goddamn song written in 1814, not some fucking holy thing.

I think in a way it's a shame. Some claim,"Colin can't be signed because he sucks..." really? You want Geno Smith over Colin, or Mark Sanchez? Look at the QBs signed in free agency: Mike Glennon, Brian Hoyer, Geno Smith, Josh McCown, Nick Foles, Chase Daniel, Aaron Murray and Matt Barkley. Even Brandon Marshall said Colin is superior to these guys. Look at Colin's stats last year with SF...and who the hell was he throwing the ball too? Remember, it's a team game. You cant put all the blame on Colin, especially when he had no fn talent around him. Why arent the Jets signing this man!? Denver could give him a shot, how about Cleveland as I said before. I wish my Texans would sign him tbqh as a backup, man I'd feel good about him backing up our new rookie in Watson. Hell, if Watson isnt ready to play, Ill take Colin > Tom Savage. So if Colin could start a few games until Watson is ready, Id take that. Colin has been to a super bowl, wtf has Hoyer, McCown, Murray or Barkley done. Hell even Nick Foles. Not only that, you could probably get the man at a fn discount! Honestly, you might be able to offer him a 3-5 year deal for maybe just 2-2.5 million a year, and he is getting no offers, u can get him at a discount, and if he's like,"I wanna 1 year deal," be like take it or leave it. I know that's shrewd operating but sadly, 2-2.5 a year > nothing a year. The avg backup salary according it google is 2.1 million a year and I think Colin should be a starting QB, especially for the teams I mentioned above. Hell, nabbing Colin, for a 2-2.5 million for 3-5 years, and idc what anyone says, dont tell me he couldnt give Watson some pointers, he has been to the super bowl, 2 NFC championship games. I dont get why no one gives this guy a shot....no I do, over the bs kneeling down thing. Yea, Im with Xeliou66 he is being fn blackballed....and it's a shame. Colin has talent, and anyone wanna even and tell me any of those free agents are better than Colin!? The only one imho that could be for discussion is Foles, fine, but the rest...come on. Josh > Colin....seriously!? Geno > Colin....seriously!?

He's a backup with mechanical issues, why the hell would someone want to invite that resume into camp who also happens to be a lightning rod for distraction.
If he was still good, he could've killed dogs like Michael Vick & a team would've signed him to start.

The Seahawks won't sign Kaepernick simply because they're a Super Bowl contender and they don't need the distractions that Kaepernick would bring. The distractions that Kaepernick would bring far outweigh any benefits that they could get from having Kaepernick as their backup QB, simple as that.

Yep, they already have enough distraction with the Sherman-Wilson-Carroll debacle.

Ummm, you quote him and then still call him a Patriots fan even though it's clear to everyone else reading it he's a Texans fan. I do agree distractions are part of it and what the liberal media never reports is his asking price is $10 million a year and a chance to start

Let's face it, Kap is being blackballed. The NFL and the military have exceptionally close ties, notice how at every NFL game there is a big uniformed military presence for pre game ceremonies, and lots of promotions and ads for the military during the game. You don't see this at MLB or NBA games, but at every NFL game there is a big military presence. The NFL, the military and conservative politics are all tied together, notice how conservative the NFL is compared to other sports, players constantly mentioning religion, and everytime a player makes a protest it's a big deal. Also notice how Goodell runs the league like a fascist dictator, he does what he wants and everyone has to bow down to him.
The truth is, if you say something that Goodell and the corporate military complex than controls the NFL doesn't like, you will be blackballed. That's what's happened to Kap, teams have been told not to sign him. This is a blatant attack on free speech and it's another really off putting thing about football.

His $10 million asking price has nothing to do with it? Sure, there are some teams that don't want anything to do with him because of the distractions he brings, but you liberals need to understand that free speech doesn't mean that your words/actions don't have any consequences. He made his decision and now he has to deal with it. It would all be moot if he was actually a quality player.

I think its funny that so many people believe there is some kind of conspiracy to have Kaepernick off an NFL roster.

LOL, jesus. I am a Houston fan, Astros/Rockets/Texans. See, Im not a d*ck rider like you, you apparently are a Dallas fan and DONT EVEN LIVE IN DALLAS. Ugh, bandwagon fans. I just respect what Brady/Montana/Elway do.
Ok, name those other QBs who got signed are better than Colin. Also, Seattle is a fn mess. Sherman is still showing signs of being upset over that super bowl play. (Who won that super bowl again?). Sherman is causing friction in that locker room. IDGAF about Seattle, why wont the Jets or Cleveland give him a call? Jesus man.....
Also apparently, that 10 million price tag, Colin said isnt true. He said no one has given him a call to see what he'd take. Shannon Sharpe has talked about Kaep on a daily basis. Colin knows he isnt getting 10, I think he'd really take a 1.5-2.5 million dollar contract at this point.
If no one is calling the kid, how do they know what he'd take. No, if he is legit asking 10 million, he isnt getting signed. AP saw the writing on the wall. I really think someone can nab Colin for 2 million. Only one way to find out. (Also, no one was calling him BEFORE Seattle, that was reported before the Seattle thing.) I think Colin knows darn well he isnt getting 10. I really think someone can nab this guy on the cheap, I really think he'd take a 1.5-2.5 million offer, get his foot in the door. Look at APs price and what he eventually took. Shannon Sharpe and Colin apparently are close, and Shannon said the 10 million price tag is nonsense, and he simply isnt getting calls. It is starting to look like a black ball job. If you dont call, ask,"hey, would you take so and so offer," how do we know? All I hear is,"not interested," I havent heard,"sorry, he is asking for too darn much."
Id love for my Texans to sign him, and make Savage the 3rd stringer. Id take Colin to back up Watson or hold down the fort until Watson is ready. I really believe we could offer him maybe a 4 year 8-11 million dollar contract. I think he is at the sad point, he either takes something or gets nothing. Sadly, football is a business, and anyone, idc who your team is, if your QB goes down, do you trust your back ups? Id sure as hell trust Colin, and he'd have fn Hopkins to throw too!
Greg Hardy got a 2nd chance. Michael Vick got a 2nd chance. Why cant Colin get a 2nd chance, this is the NFL saying,"You wont protest and youll do what we want." I have a hard time believing all those other QBs that got signed are superior to Colin. Again, I so wish my Texans would offer him a shot. What baffles me....Houston's best QB we ever had? Matt fn Schaub (Remember how that ended?) Id love to give Colin a shot, and I truly think we can get him cheap.
BTW Ctown, tyvm for understand Im a Texan fan, it's sad when I even said I want my Texans to take Colin and he claims Im a NE fan. I know people from all cities who love Lebron, doesnt mean their Cleveland fans. (BTW, I see your avatar is Cleveland, gl to you guys in the finals. Im so glad you guys finally got a championship last year tho, that city deserved it so dang much.)
Also, how can people not think something is wrong here. Look at those lists of QBs signed in free agency.....anyone seriously wanna tell me they'd take any of those > Colin. (Only Foles imho is the one I'd maybe consider).
