Nik Turner has died at the age of 82. Turner was a member of Hawkwind.

Gutted, Hawkwind to this day are the band I have seen the most and Turner was the heart to Brock's business acumen and drive. Even given the unpleasant nature of the split with the band and constant sniping from both sides he was a lovely affable chap I spoke to on a couple of occasions. His "Inner City Unit" were a great punky outfit too and are well worth checking out. I shall be giving the "Ritual" a spin tonight.
