on aliens existing?
Would you agree that the main argument among people that believe in aliens is: The universe is so vast, that intelligent aliens must exist. Because the universe is so big.
Would you agree that, that is a simple argument for the reason that aliens exist?
And would you agree that a more complex argument for why the reason aliens exist/ don't exist would have to include more complex areas of thought?

That is a popular argument, but I don't necessarily agree with it. Without knowing the probability of abiogenesis, we can't estimate the probability of life anywhere in the universe. Let's say there are 700 quintillion planets. If the probability of a planet producing life is 1 in 700 quintillion, we're it.
