I know this is a really REALLY long shot but I'm hoping somebody here's old enough to remember this one.
In the early 90s we only had a couple of Christmas tapes that I listened to all the time, one I remember the A side opened up with Bing Crosby's Round and Round the Christmas Tree, and it ended with the Muppets' 12 Days of Christmas before you had to switch over to side B, but BEFORE the Muppets there was a woman singing 'Deck the Halls', and it's a version I have never heard anywhere else, even though as far as I know most of the songs on it were fairly common, and for there being about a million different versions of it, I always thought it was a very powerful rendition for just one vocalist and the music.
Over the years we have had so many Christmas CDs and I never found one with that same version of 'Deck the Halls' on it and I've always wanted to find out who sings it. Is there any chance anybody else had this tape 30 years ago and knows if it was also ever put on CD?

You have no idea how happy this makes me. The one thing I always remembered was the drums in it and how cool it sounded, but good luck trying to explain it to someone.
Thank you thank you thank you!
