I've been in contact with a self proclaimed Sim master recently and have been told I'm a skin job. Not sure what to believe. The Sims are more or less left alone to do their thing in the world while replicants are apparently pursued and persecuted to some degree or other depending on their build. Not sure if there are any actual humans as that would imply some type of naturalism which probably doesn't exist here but again, I can't be sure. So which are you?

There's an argument in philosophy that goes something like this:
1. Provided humanity does not destroy itself first, it will eventually reach a level of technological sophistication where it can create simulated universes 2. These simulated universes will themselves, if they don't destroy themselves first, eventually be in a position to make their own simulated universes 3. Therefore statistically, there will probably be many, many more simulated universes than natural universes 4. You are therefore much more likely to live in a simulated universe
Not an airtight argument (for one thing, the way things are going these days, I suspect we'll destroy ourselves long before we can make simulated universes), but interesting food for thought even if it's near impossible to actually believe you are a SIM.
Not sure how replicants fit into all that. Why would you even have replicants in a simulation?

Wowzers, that goshdurn Voight-Kampff test you’re carryin’ must be broken, officers. Hold it, a little easier with pullin’ on my arm, OK? As I was sayin’, it must be broken, givin’ you totally inaccurate, totally incorrect results like that. Wait, sorry, what was the subject of this thread?

The multiverse theory is just too absurd for me to get behind. There's no way there are universes where I get to party with hot famous chicks or whatever. Does not ring true. As for the replicant question, I simply don't know. Will try to prepare myself to interface with the Sim master again soon. Maybe they will be more prone to answer my questions next time.

I'm a turtle, from a long line of turtles. Are you the turtle from It?

I'm a turtle, from a long line of turtles. Are you the turtle from It? Or a descendant of Tibby (from the first Gamera movie)?

Not me. I'm not going out into the barren and desolate real world to fight terminators. Not without knowing the full scoop anyway.

So I spoke to a Sim Master recently and it gave vague overtures to the fact that some of the folks on this board are Sims.
