We had some really good games today . The first 2 games. I also found Brazil game okay.
Hopefully it's a close contest. I would like to see Uruguay go up first.

Missed a good bit of that first half. Irish pundits saying there's no way 22 players will be on the pitch at the end.

Severe beating in the cells this evening incoming for that pitch invader who's just provided the biggest moment of excitement thus far...

I'm really not convinced he even touched it - of course, there's zero chance he'd do anything but take the credit for the goal.

Probably the worst VAR decision ever.

This man will probably spend some time in prison in Qatar after this.

Probably the worst VAR decision ever. I haven't seen it yet, but it looks to me like it's not a question of VAR but rather a question of the new-ish FIFA interpretation of what constitutes a handball that all but eliminated the concept of the accidental handball.

Not sure - There's the usual debates on the twitter re unnatural positions, etc but apparently not relevant in this case as it was his supporting arm as falling. However some people claiming the supporting arm defence only counts if the arm is literally on the ground but I'm not sure if the rules explicitly state that...
In any event, given the debate, I'm not sure it's a clear cut on field error, therefore I don't think the VAR should have been involved in the first place.
I especially hate these decisions when the game is just going on, no one's really contesting anything and it's completely out of the blue. It's just completely overstepping the mark and ruining the flow of football.

Well, that’s 32 games gone out of the 64. We’re exactly half way through. Thanks Christ!

If he hadn't kept smoothing his hair down he WOULD have made contact with the ball for the goal.
