IF lune7000 wanted to, as OP, could edit the title of the thread to something related to the posts .... (hint hint) or not ... there are so many "." threads they all start to look alike after a while !

So what was this post about? It was an experiment. Psychologists used to show people inkblots and ask them what they saw- in order to understand how they perceived the world. So I posted some pictures of a TV show I saw. I purposely decided not to add any writing of my own as to not lead the reader one way or another. I just wanted to see how people would interpret the pictures and how they would proceed. For the most part people treated my post like most other posts which are about finding similarities between films. People interpreted what they saw, classified it, and found additional examples.
But this wasn't the only way to interpret what I posted. In fact, when I posted the photos I felt a lot of emotion: from having memories of seeing the show, and of the actors, and of the theme of death in the show. What's interesting about the responses on this forum is that nobody related an emotional reaction to what I posted. This is odd because movies are an entirely emotional experience- that's the only reason we watch them. If this forum were about coding or building houses it would make sense that we avoid any kind of talk about feelings but this is a forum about movies. Occasionally, a person may say "oh I like this movie" or "she was a good actress" but almost nobody here writes much about feelings. I'm not saying that this is good or bad, but almost everything here is reduced to trivia of some type or another. When I watch a film, I am almost completely immersed in the emotion of it, the music, the scenes, the imagery- it seems odd that a forum dedicated to an emotional art (movies) is so completely devoid of emotional expression. We might as well be talking about table saws. So many good people here- yet I never know how they feel.

Intended or not, what it looked like to me was that you accidently posted in the wrong board (Classic Film rather than TV) and did not know how to delete your images but did know how to alter your thread title .. why you would do this was not part of the equation.
Yet emotional responses abound in these posts.

As this has now become a thread about hitchhikers, you cannot expect me not to drag in my favourite hitchhikers from my all-time favourite movie.

Monty Clift thumbs a ride at the opening credits of A PLACE IN THE SUN -- though it isn't Liz who picks him up.
