Love the movie, except for two things: Steve Martin is supposed to be 35? The little boy attacks and destroys the school play at the end, and the parents sit there with proud grins on their faces as if it's the cutest thing ever? No.
Because unlike the teacher, they're all...PARENTS. They're all on the same roller coaster Steve Martin's character is.
It is cute, he thought he was protecting his sister.
No; I've been to plenty of events that have been disrupted by that one kid whose parents don't want to do anything to control their behavior, and everybody else, including the other parents who've taught their kids how to behave, are annoyed. Nobody can say anything, though, at the risk of being labeled child-haters. This is why child-free weddings became a thing.

Everybody knows kids like that. But that's not what happened here. He thought the other dwarfs were hurting his sister and went to save her. Everything else that happened was a result of the teacher chasing him around.
