Until some hysterical parent purchases it by "mistake" and shows it to her kids, only to then send later in, an angry complaint: Made a mistake thinking all region 1 DVDs back in the day, was uncut, unlike far too many European region 2 copies. But the old 2002 (or 2004) MGM re-release, cut out Barbeau and her babies, all while the same European region 2 copy that I later found, had them all there for everyone to see.

I've always been a fan of Adrienne Barbeau, she had the rare quality of being sexy and genuine at the same time. Young me was really a fan.

That is a pretty damn good way of describing how I also feel about her, along with her sultry voice, and yeah, The Fog, Escape from New York and Swamp Thing are all favorites, and has a lot to do with having Adrienne in them. Should probably soon give Cannonball Run another go, as it has been too long since. Anyway, I thought she managed to combine sexy with lots of fun:

I never got into her. She has terrible hair and looks like a mom (and not the good kind either). Her boobs aren't even that good once she reveals them. She propped them up a lot, but their deceiving.

Just saw her once more, as Maggie, the "squeeze" to Brain (Harry Dean Stanton) in Escape from New York (1981). Wished she had done a bit more action related roles back then, as I really ennjoyed the character of Maggie, who came off as though for most of the film, but when Brain is written out, she showcases her true feelings for him:

Man, I freaking hated Cannonball Run but she was about the only thing that made it worth sitting through.

I wonder whatever happened to Tara Buckman, the blonde sitting beside Adrienne. Seems like she disappeared off the face of the earth.
