I often thought Snyder as being a less talented version of Nolan, so I'm wondering how the two stack up when you compare their best to their worst.

Which do you prefer? Watchmen could have been way better if it was a miniseries (even at it's long run time everything felt rushed and underdeveloped.

Christopher Nolan is a significantly better director then Zack Snyder. Well yeah, that's kinda like saying Nirvana is significantly better than Puddle of Mud, one is just a hackneyed rip off of the other

There style's are nothing alike imo. Man of Steel was obviously trying to Nolanize Superman, but Snyder quickly dropped that in the sequels and they haven't had much in common before or since. I would liken Snyder to David Fincher if he got arrested development at 14. They're both dark, gritty but stylish directors with a background in music videos and commercials. Though Finch is edge with purpose, while Snyder is just an edgelord. As for the question at hand, I like The Snyder Cut more than The Dark Knight Rises. And Tenet for that matter. The rest of Nolan's filmography is far better, though.

I remember when I first watched Dawn of the Dead the opening scene sort of reminded me of Fincher.

Good call on Bay. If Bay got bumped on the head one day and woke up thinking he was David Fincher, Snyder would be the result.

Snyder Cut Insomnia
Insomnia is the only Nolan movie that Snyder can best (and JL:SC is the only movie of his that could do it). I like Snyder, but Nolan’s work is far superior imo.
