We don't care. We just happen to love her and her movies. Besides, she was a cult actor and a star, not big, but a star nonetheless.
In China/Hong Kong, she was famous and popular.

I've seen some of her fight scenes and they're awful. Not only are they sped up like all Hong Kong action films are, she's hilariously doubled. You can clearly see she's not performing most of the moves. Not wonder she never became a star.

Nice, thanks for the news! I doubt I'll upgrade any titles any time soon as I have pretty much all my Cynthia Rothrock favourites on dvd already. But I'll look out for the ones I've been looking for, for sure!

Totally false. All Hong Kong martial movies are a bit sped up, not just Rothrock's. She did few Hong Kong movies anyway, then moved to hybrid/American productions. That said, she was 100% astonishing as martialist, and only used doubles for (VERY FEW) dangerous action sequences where fight wasn't involved at all. Her fight sequences were amazing. All of them, no matter the movie.
Probably you're jealous because you dreamed to be a female action star. Okay, man, okay.

She was a marvellous martial artist, and her fight sequences were 100% impressive.

Lol I hit a nerve. She just sucks. That's why her career went nowhere. Her doubles are so painfully obvious. Whenever an actor is not facing the camera, it means they're using doubles. They do a bad job of hiding doubles in Hong Kong films. You can easily spot them. Rothrock's fight scenes are laughably bad. You're a tool.

Great profile. Her fight scenes were marvellous and amazing, performed 100% by herself (she accomplished SEVEN black belts in real life). And her flicks were definitely entertaining, fun and well done, despite being low budgeted b-movies. That's it.
"Rothrock was World Champion in forms and weapons five times between 1981 and 1985.[2] These categories are not combat-oriented, being displays of fluidity of movement rather than fighting, and are not segregated into male and female categories but fully open to both sexes.[3][4]
She took first place in forms 32 times and first place in weapons 12 times in her first 38 tournaments, including competing in "Men's Forms" three out of four times as there was no Women's Division. She was "Grand Master" of five tournaments and came in first place in 4 out of 5 fighting events.[5]
She holds seven black belts and sashes in multiple Far Eastern martial disciplines, including Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo (Korean), Eagle Claw (Chinese), Wushu, Northern Shaolin, Ng Ying Kungfu (Chinese: 五形功夫), and Pai Lum White Dragon Kung Fu.[6][7] She received her 6th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan in 2006. She was tested by Grand Master Robert Kovaleski, 9th Dan and chair of the I.T.M.A., and was later promoted by him to 7th degree black belt in 2011 and 8th degree black belt in 2015.[8] She is a martial arts instructor and her favorite weapons are the hook swords.[9]"

In all seriousness, it made my day to see you sharing news here at Film General about new blu-ray releases of her movies which have had a chequered past in terms of restoration and redistribution. I'm particularly interested myself in any commentary tracks recorded as she's had a storied career I'm always keen to learn more of.
Personally speaking, I can't think of a single person I admire in low budget action cinema who doesn't speak highly of Rothrock, be it her achievements, her influence, her helpful nature, or all that she brings to the table. Absolute legend (and I don't use the word lightly).

Cynthia recorded MANY audio tracks, as well as video specials/inserts, for the blu-ray releases. I will make a list of them, for sure.

That's great to hear, thanks. I don't recall hearing her on a dvd commentary track as of yet, but that's probably because I rushed to buy her movies on budget releases when I got my first dvd player. Now I'm keen to hear her thoughts on some of these productions, especially if a pricey upgrade promises a first-rate transfer to boot.
