I think these people who want to travel during the holidays (Thanksgiving through New Year's) are really taking chances.
Whether driving or flying, every year the weather gets bad enough to severely affect travel.
They must really like canceled flights and road closures to travel every year during the holidays.
What do you think?

I did this year. I had initially booked a cheap ticket with hellish layovers, but because of the bad weather, the airline allowed me to change it to a ticket with much better connections at no cost. So, it worked out.

I don't see why anyone would bother. Most places are winter filled during that timeframe of the year anyway - well, unless you're in Australia.
