I really like the sound of weapons-grade 808s but have a strong instinct that Guardian writers are as little to be trusted on music as they are on politics. Also, Chief Keef is really bad. Roy Montgomery is quite good, in a slightly dull way, so while I've probably heard that LP, I may not have as they all sound pretty much the same. Tangerine Dream at their best are superb, but there was a massive drop in quality from the turn of the 80s onwards. Exit is very patchy as a whole though that track is pretty decent.
Kenny Wheeler is most likely to be of interest to me, someone I've been meaning to check out for a while.
