It was always my fave as a kid…then nerds told me Empire was better and I believed them for a while…now I think I ranked it second behind the first film when I did a rewatch.
I do think it has the best lightsaber duel tho, of any of the films.

The bit with Vader grabbing the Emperor was a highlight but there was a lack of a energy to the dialogue scenes. The rebel stuff.
It had a stagey quality.
They needed the Gorax for the battle in the forest.
Gorax vs AT-ATs = A plus.
