At first Catman thought that was a hamster in the logo.

I saw bottles of Starry in the pop cases by the registers in the stores. I liked Sierra Mist better than Sprite but I no longer drink pop.

Starry is really good. It reminds me of Sierra Mist's first recipe when it was first introduced in 1999.
The problem with Sierra Mist is they kept changing it.
When they changed the recipe to "Sierra Mist Natural" - they claimed they had sugar instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup and no artificial preservatives. But it was revealed the sugar was derived from beets and not actual cane sugar. That didn't set well with consumers. Then, they made it less calories and put Stevia in it. That didn't set well with consumers, either.
Then they went back to High Fructose Corn Syrup and rebranded it as Mist TWST. Again flop. They they brought it back as Sierra Mist with "Sugar" and artificial preservatives.
It was perfect when it was first introduced. They should have just stuck with that. But judging by Stary's taste, I think they did with a new name.

But judging by Stary's taste, I think they did with a new name. I really liked Sierra Mist when it first came out as well... Then I didn't like their newer recipes... Interestingly you could get the original recipe for a while at fast food restaurants that had the fountain drinks... as I recall it had something to do with cross contamination of High Fructose Corn Syrup drinks mixing with Sugar drinks, and that was a No No... It all had to be the same, and so, it was manufactured just for restaurants... But I think they finally changed that too... The last time I got one through a Drive thru it didn't taste right... It tasted like the regular version... I gave up on it at that point. If Starry is more like the original Sierra Mist, I'll give it a try... If I can find it... The last couple of times I went to the pop isles at the store, they were half empty of products... Even store brands were gone... Not sure what the deal is with that.
