If there's one thing history has taught me, it's how incompetently the present takes it for. There were always stupid ppl just as today... & there were always brilliant ppl just as today.
We didn't make it to 2023 by not doing a lot of things right.

The ship is remarkably well preserved. Is it real or replica for recreational divers I think?

We didn't make it to 2023 by not doing a lot of things right. I think a big reason people have this mistaken idea that everybody before us where stupid, is because they where different from us. They had a different culture, different morals and a different way of thinking. And people who are different are stupid in some peoples minds. At least that's part of it.

The Bronze Age Collapse is fascinating, one of my favorite time periods to study. There were factories making branded pottery with quality control and seconds were smashed in a nearby pit to keep quality high. There were complex trading networks, accounting, legal disputes, and mutual assistance alliances. What is scary is that it all ended due to a series of disasters that created a cascading failure. And when nations began weakening, civil unrest grew, and outside raiders took advantage.
