Discuss all MLB stuff here.
My Fish are playing better, got our first sweep of the season over the Phillies and have won 5 of 7 on our current homestand. Tonights loss to the D-Backs stung though, our pen blew it again.
Best division is the NL West, Rockies, Dodgers and D-Backs are all excellent teams. NL is much deeper than the AL, AL is being dominated by the Astros. AL East is fascinating, Yankees have been surprisingly good, Orioles and Sox are solid, Jays and Rays are interesting as well.

Marlins hosting the Phillies had 1590 fans show up to watch on Wednesday, the lowest in MLB since 1989.
Maybe they should build a fancy new stadium oh wait.

Fish take 3 of 4 against the very solid D-Backs and 8 of 10 on their homestand, and suddenly we are playing very good baseball now. We will get better when some of our pitchers and our left side of the infield comes off of the DL.
Did anyone see that there were 7 Grand Slams yesterday? Most in MLB history I believe.

yold ya few weeks ago things change. although the mets continue to suck.. this team has major problems that go beyond injures.
yankees have been playing around 500 since ther growth spurt, it is keeping them in first place for now. every game is important because baltimore and boston are right on our tails

Yankees-Red Sox series starting tonight should be fun, big series for the AL East. Yankees have been surprisingly good, Aaron Judge is playing at an MVP caliber level and that, along with solid starting pitching, has put the Yankees at the top of their division. I'm unsure about how their starting pitchers will hold up, but their pen is strong and I think their hitting is good enough to make the a playoff contending team. Red Sox haven't done as good offensively as expected, guys like Mookie, JBJ and Hanley Ramirez have underperformed, they should be improved soon IMO. Their relief pitching is the big concern, besides Kimbrel they don't have any real good relievers.
