Ya know it's really hard to muster much enthusiasm when the villain you're looking is poorly written and with hilariously cheesy lines. Ares, who is supposedly a mythological antagonist, isn't half as intriguing as the hero, Diana herself. And it's hard to feel even remotely intimidated by a villain who has nothing better to say than "I'm gonna kill you" or "then you shall die". Come on! This movie was seriously lacking in the bad guy development. May David Thewlis wasn't the right guy for the role...but heh, Gal Gadot has surely outdone herself in this film so yep, She's probably the only good thing about this fiasco.
6.5/10

I agree, David Thewlis wasn't good at all in this, but he was superb in the Harry Potter films. The final 20 minutes was poor. I was hoping for a WW vs Doctor Poison fight instead of what we got. They really didn't get all they could out of the character.

So you give what amounts to a fairly decent score after calling it a fiasco?

I couldn't take his Ares character seriously at all, and the whole time after the reveal I was waiting for him to change form into something more believable (not just the armor, I mean his actual self). I loved Dr. Poison, she was such a menacing and cunning villain but they did absolutely nothing with her character. I would have loved to see a fight between her and WW at the end. Bleh.

She's probably the only good thing about this fiasco. 6.5/10 bad thing with reviews is that people often use words without understanding their meaning; or they are unable to rate in accordance with their choice of words. At any rate, their reviews will turn out a fiasco (defined as: "a complete failure, especially a ludicrous or humiliating one").

Well I thought it was a lot of fun and a BIG improvement from the previous DCEU outings so I was pleasantly surprised.
I liked Wonder Woman more than CA The 1st Avenger & both Thor films .

This movie is probably the best of the DCEU movies so far.

At least Snyder films are ambitious even if they fail sometimes

At least Snyder films are ambitious even if they fail sometimes Yep! General Zod, as misunderstood he was, still proved to be a frightening rival to Kal...which is more than can be said for Ares.

At least Snyder films are ambitious even if they fail sometimes He's ambitious in the action department only. Wonder Woman had more ideas and thematic consistency than anything else he's been involved with in the DCEU (and he deserves some credit for WW since he helped write the story and had the good sense to pick Gal Gadot to play her).

I thought it was a huge step in the right direction. If JL can match this quality then the DCEU is actually going somewhere. The trailers for JL look awful though.

Careful, anything less than a glowing review of every aspect of this movie is going to be regarded as "misawginee."

Thank you, angrydukat. It's true.
Personally, I think any woman who prefers to see a bunch of Amazonian babes on an island, practicing all the time over a great male hero like Batman or Captain America probably goes home to masturbate to such images. I wish they would just come out of the closet. Guys don't like dishonesty and deceit.

I already have been out for around 20 years and yes, I do prefer to see a bunch of hot sexy Amazonian babes over default male superhero movie No.145 - I would prefer Red Sonja and my Wifey looks VERY sexy when she dresses up in her Red Sonja costume but that is just me and this is a start. Oohh and why would I masturbate to Wonder Woman when I could masturbate to sexy videos of Bree Daniels, Natalia Starr or Ryan Ryans? Are you saying you masturbate to Batman and Captain America movies?
