It's Park Chan Wook new movie, about a married cop who investigates on the death of a man, and falls in love with his wife, who's the main suspect. Then there are twists. I liked it, it's fun, I liked the twists. The ending is beautiful. I loved the lead actress too, Tang Wei.
The Bravados 7.5/10
It's a western with Gregory Peck and Joan Collins, about a rancher who goes to a small town to witness the execution of a gang of robbers whom he's convinced have raped and killed his wife. They escape prison and he leads a posse to hunt them down. I enjoyed it, it's beautiful visually, also, it's better to watch it without spoilers, IMO, I wasn't expecting where it was going to end up. The cast is good, I liked Henry Silva and Lee Van Cleef.
The Long Hot Summer 7/10
It's a Martin Ritt movie, with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, it's about a con man with a shady past who ends up in a Southern town and starts hang around the richest family of the area. It's O.K., not great, IMO, kind of soap oper-ish. The cast is good, there's Orson Welles too in it, Lee Remick, Anthony Franciosa...I read Paul Newman and Martin Ritt weren't happy with the movie, because the studio interfered a lot.
San Andreas 4.5/10
It's the movie with The Rock, Carla Gugino and Paul Giamatti, about a pilot fireman trying to reach his daughter and his ex wife in Los Angeles and San Francisco after the Big One hits. O.K., I didn't like it, it really feels a bit ridicolous, IMO, especially the tsunami scene...
im keen to see Decision to leave and long hot summer is on my watchlist. Bravados.. i saw so many westerns as a kid, may have seen. Doubt if ever watch Sam Andreas
You'll like Decision to Leave, I think. It's really a full film noir/melo.
