So, I was in a used record/movie store and it looked like someone sold one hell of a horror collection and was able to pick up all of the following on blu-ray for less that $40.00. The following are all films I haven't seen and was curious if anyone here had (non-spoiler please) thoughts on them.
Mill of the Stone Women (1960) The Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion (1970) The Bloodstained Butterfly (1971) Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde (1971) The Iguana with the Tongue of Fire (1971) A Lizard in a Woman's Skin (1971) The Crimes of the Black Cat (1972)
The Corruption of Chris Miller (1973) Beyond the Door (1974)
God Told Me To (1976) Obsession (1976) The Psychic (1977) The Uncanny (1977) Possession (1981) Next of Kin (1982) 10 to Midnight (1983) The Beast and the Magic Sword (1983) Baxter (1989) The Sect (1991) Raising Cain (1992) Sleepless (2001) Dead Don’t Die (2019)
Not horror but I also got
Point Blank (1967) The Great Silence (1968)
Hell in the Pacific (1968) The Friends of Eddie Coyle (1973)

The Corruption of Chris Miller (1973) - Weird 3rd act, but enjoyable movie overall.
Obsession (1976) - Classic De Palma. Fun mystery thriller, but bizarre. Don’t except realism…lol.
Possession (1981) - PM me if you watch this, I’d be curious what you think. People seem to love it, but after a promising start, I ended up truly hating it. A miserable viewing experience for me.
Next of Kin (1982) - Slow starter, but I ended up enjoying it. Give it a chance.
10 to Midnight (1983) - I’ve seen it, but it’s been too long, need to watch it again.
Raising Cain (1992) - Mid-level De Palma movie. Not among his best, but not among his worst either.
Point Blank (1967) - People love this one, but I wasn’t crazy about it. I much prefer the Mel Gibson remake Payback.
The Friends of Eddie Coyle (1973) - Good movie.

I'll probably give Possession a watch tomorrow or the next day (It was honestly one of the ones I'm most curious about). I'll be sure to PM you when I finish it.

It’s very artsy, which I don’t always do well with…lol.

Only saw Raising Cain. Thought it was alright. 6/10. Missed seeing Point Blank (1967) listed. I liked it quite a bit.

Lizard in a Woman's Skin is one of Fulci's better movies.
Possession has great performances but I wasn't crazy about the rest of it.
That's all I've seen.

The Dead Don't Die (2019) is kind of alright in a low key way, apart from the ending. I didn't care for that.

The Bloodstained Butterfly (1971) - This might be one of my least favourite gialli. I found it very dry and emotionally distant, but I seem to be in the minority regarding the mostly positive reviews.
God Told Me To (1976) - Bizzarre and rather unique thriller. The ending is so crazy, that you have to see it to believe it.
Obsession (1976) - Like usually with De Palma this is style over substance and you will likely predict the final twist at around the middle. This is his own take on Vertigo, but obviously far inferior to the Hitchcock classic. I also found Cliff Robertson badly miscast.
The Great Silence (1968) - The ending is certainly memorable, that is, if you can accept, that Trintignant's supposedly competent gunslinger behaves like a complete ass throughout the movie. It's very manipulative and Corbucci's direction comes over as a bit cheap and unimaginative.
