CP3 with one more chance at a title. Ayton stays, I suppose.

Suns gotta be up there with the favorites now and Nets get a good return. Thats a lot of picks they can use or flip plus some good players in return. Man, they need to make a 30 for 30 on the last 4 years of the Nets. All that money, all that drama, ONE playoff series win!

Four 1st round picks? That has to be a record. And unprotected means that if Phoenix implodes, the Nets could get four lottery picks, right?
And I thought the Nets were supposed to be a superteam, the team that would knock Boston and Golden State off their pedestals.
Sorry, not an NBA fan

Exactly right. It's one thing to put a super team together ie Pierce, Garnett, Allen or James, Wade, Bosh or Curry, KD, Klay so I get what Brooklyn was doing. However Kyrie is just a shit show so it didn't matter how many stars you put on the team, that jackass would screw it up regardless.

Next year's #1 will be at the end of the round but with Paul and KD being older, Brooklyn is hoping they have a short window and those future #1's will be better picks. Or they can use the multiple #1's they now have in package deals for better picks or players. They were supposed to be a super team but Kyrie is too toxic to work with anybody for a long period of time. Eventually, his BS will come through and ruin things.

This game should be interesting. Hopefully Curry is back by then.

That’s a lot to give up for a guy that hasn’t exactly been super healthy lately. Don’t see this working for Phoenix

It feels very much like what my Padres are doing in baseball: two franchises who have never won the championship going all out to do so. With no great team this year, it's probably as good a time as any to try this. It's not as if Denver or Memphis are juggernauts.

Guarantee he thought beating the Warriors in the playoffs at least would validated him, as he wasn't given credit for winning with the Warriors. This time he would be taking a stalled franchise over the top rather than jumping onto a team that is already a champion. And to do for a franchise that has never won before pushes the narrative even more. Still, the Nets debacle won't come off completely - - he's the maestro of that one.
