The idea that there's some objective truth out there. The biggest bit of propaganda ever created.

Science deals in quantitative facts, it's up to you to find the truth. You shouldn't blame science for you own limited imagination.

"Is science the real devil?"
No.
"The idea that there's some objective truth out there. The biggest bit of propaganda ever created."
First of I dunno what "objective truth" has to do with Satan (it's funnny you say that because it's usually devoutly religious types that try to argue universe/existence/morality are "objective truths" ordained by God), but more importantly, yes I would argue there is such thing as "objective truth" for certain things. For instance here's one you probably can't deny, it's an "objective truth" that Angus Young is the guitarist for AC/DC (or did they break up? I don't really pay much attention to them).

I guess you could call that an emergent or temporary truth. I was more talking about fundamental building block truths of the universe. The kind that science likes to propagate. Malcolm died and Brian Johnson has serious health issues with his hearing. They're not coming back unfortunately. Given how good Shot in the Dark was I think they could have had a few more hits if they were able to stick around another year or two.

Science is the never-ending quest for truth that sometimes needs adjustment of previous best explanations. It demands nothing of our belief. No one is singing "Gravity is real!" due to their insecurity in their deeply-held and well-protected beliefs. Au contraire. It's the exact same as religious belief if you look at it from a slightly broader perspective. There are assumptions at every level of the beast.

Science is about performing experiments to determine if scientific theories correspond with what happens in the real world. When they don't match, the theory is modified to better explain the observations. When was the last time a religion performed an experiment to reveal the truth?

Any perspective from which science is seen as the "exact same as religious belief" is a perspective that is wholly inappropriate and misinformed.

Science deals in quantitative facts, it's up to you to find the truth. You shouldn't blame science for you own limited imagination. Faux pas, because if imagination is unlimited, how can it be objective and quantitative. Are you now implying imagination is fact? You do not think beyond the parameters of your cultural tropes, not because you can’t, but because you limit yourself. Therefore, it is impossible to have an esoteric conversation with you.

No, wrong choice of words. It is you "trying desperately" to find your way out of the hole you dug for yourself. You’re jealous of my intellect.

Who cares about your pseudo and warped intellect. I am going to make a blueberry pie with fresh blackberries. The mush in the middle, will remind me of what your brain would look like.
Even so.

Utter nonsense. Science is about performing experiments to determine if scientific theories correspond with what happens in the real world. When they don't match, the theory is modified to better explain the observations. When was the last time a religion performed an experiment to reveal the truth? Revealing the truth about what though? Once truth is revealed, (and whose truth?), then what? As I indicated in my previous post, the truth about the real world. You don't seem to be too interested in that though. As for whose truth, you should take notice that chemists, physicists, biologists, and other scientists in every corner of the world are all in agreement on the basics of their specialties, unlike religion. So that would be the truth that is plainly evident to any rational scientist.
