I recently rewatched Avengers IW and EG. One of the best parts of these movies is the coming together of a whole bunch of iconic Marvel characters. But it was also very grounded with established characters and established relationships between them.
Now Marvel’s got tons of pieces on the board but it’s all quite thin and there is almost no history between these characters to draw from with Stark, Steve and Nat gone.
They still have time to build it all up but do we really need to see Moon Knight, She Hulk, Ms Marvel, Teen Girl Hawkeye, Alternate Loki, Wonder Man and Agatha Witchy Woman in the next Avengers outing? I think they should omit some if not all of these minor streeaming show characters and focus on the headliners.

They need to wait until at least the second Kang Avengers movie (don't remember which title goes with which) before they start bringing in literally everyone. It'll seem like a stunt if they just throw them all in there randomly. They got away with that kind of thing once in MoM, they can't do it again without earning it.

Rumor has it they're bringing Robert Downey Jr back. Which means they know the MCU can't survive without him.
This is their own fault. They should have made Strange the leader of The New Avengers when Tony died. Instead of making him the rock of the group they made him incompetent and irresponsible. Not to mention waiting way too long for a second Strange movie.
Feige dropped the ball bad. Any idiot knows you don't kill Iron Man if you don't have very solid plan for who will replace the most important character in your universe.

“Whats Kang Wars?!” Why it’s the next big event feature of the Marvel Cinematronic Univision. All the youths are twittering about it on Facebox and TickTac. Don’t be a square, jack!

I think they planned on T'Challa being the team leader after Stark died, but that...didn't...happen for reasons . So, they were caught off-guard.

The MCU's already shown it doesn't need Iron Man to survive, and the old Avengers team is done anyways meaning when the next Avengers movie happens it will be about a new incarnation that isn't just a continuation of the old one.

The only character who could have replaced Iron Man as the MCU leading man is Captain America and he went out in the same movie.
Aside from him there's nobody who could replace him. The only character who would make sense from a character perspective would be someone like Captain Marvel and she's not exactly very well liked.

No, they don't need to be, and don't think they will be. There's been some overlap with characters like Strange and Wanda, but I don't see them all showing up in an Avengers movie. Moonknight, for eaxmple.

Rumor has it that Secret Wars may be split into two parts. Maybe they'll split up some of the characters?
