I thought it was very good. Eerie as shit. Dave Bautista is really making a name for himself. Ron Weasley in a surprise roll too! Great suspense and drama. The girl was very cute too.

I felt like Bird and Grint we're actually giving the strongest performances and I'd like to see Bautista in more serious stuff.

I thought it was ok. The performances were captivating but ironically for Shyamalon there weren't a lot of twists and turns. People show up. Say things will happen. Those things happen. The end. Not much suspense, just a waiting game. Especially with it being obvious from the start which family member will sacrifice themselves. Then the only "bad guy" really posing much interpersonal drama (Grint) is the first to die.

One is an adorable little child. One is a skeptical, angry cynic. One is a selfless, open-minded believer. Out of those three, who did you think would martyr themselves for a religious apocalypse?

I sensed anger after the flashback but that was quite late in the movie. But that anger was understandable so to me nothing out of ordinary that would define him as such. And I didnt get cynicism at all. How was he cynical? He was skeptical (rightly so) and level headed to me.
