It's pretty much a critical success....so how much money is she going to make?

maybe 600m+ worldwide, which is respectable, but nothing mind blowing. So close to Man of Steel numbers.

It's pretty much a critical success....so how much money is she going to make? It's slightly above the first Guardians, so that would put it on pace for mid 700's, but I suspect the legs won't be as good. It has a higher female turnout than average for comic films and I don't think it will have quite as much repeat base. That also means fewer men went to see it than Guardians.

I will like 2 kno if mor women c WW then did SS or BVSDOJ. I suspect that the increase in women seeing this movie is quite small. This notion that women who don't normally watch comic book action movies will rush out in large numbers to see one if it has a female lead has never held much water with me.

So I'm reading really good things about the box office numbers this weekend. Anyone else see these reports? I'm not sure how to make links here or I would. God I miss IMDB.

Domestic: $100,505,000 45.1% + Foreign: $122,500,000 54.9% = Worldwide: $223,005,000
From Boxofficemojo. And I also miss the IMDB message boards tremendously.

And I'll add here that the RT score seems to be holding between 93% and 94%...I'm just so happy as a fan of DC. So happy!

This notion that women who don't normally watch comic book action movies will rush out in large numbers to see one if it has a female lead has never held much water with me. It's significant. More women have seen this than men, which doesn't happen for comic book films, so it's over a 5% increase than usual, which is millions of people. In my theater I saw quite a few little girls who were brought by their families, so it is most definitely a factor.
I think because of that, you'll see the top end of a drop off in week 2. close to 60%. Those little girls I doubt are going to be brought back for second viewings, and I think women in general are less likely to come back.
That being said, the film will do incredibly well, and should end up close to 800 I would think. Well over 700 anyway.

I honestly think it's a little better than MoS. WW's opening was far better than Fantastic Beasts, and that film made over $800 million. If it only sees a less than 60% drop this weekend, it will do that with Spain, Germany and Japan releases later this summer.
