Ramones, never liked the NMTB production, preferred the Spunk boot that we'd all been listening to for months before. If we're talking punk debuts though, you have to include The Damned,Clash,Ruts,SLF,Slits,Crass,X Ray Spex and the DKs into the discussion too, alongside some others I've no doubt forgotten. Out of all those for me personally it's a toss up between The Clash and SLF for which one had most immediate impact on me.

The two albums that launched the original punk scene, which do you prefer? I only like 1 Ramones song and it came later. By default, Bollocks.

They both have the same problem to me: every song sounds extremely similar. The vocals are the only thing that make them stand out. I’d call it a tie.

I know I should say Sex Pistols, which is possibly the all-time number 1 album favourite of Oasis based on interview snippets I've seen, but I only really like half the songs, most of which were probably singles ...
LIKE : 'Holidays In The Sun' / 'God Save The Queen' / 'Anarchy In The U.K.' / 'Bodies' / 'Pretty Vacant' ... + 'Submission'
INDIFFERENT : The rest ......
Some people in U K like to trash the Ramones (and their fellow punk countrymen) but I listen to them because I enjoy them, especially their first four albums, so I probably don't care all that much what they say even though it makes me a loser (to some).
