If God is everywhere, is not every house Gods house?

If God is everywhere, is not every house Gods house? Sure as Our Lord told us not to go to the temple, but to shut ourselves away in our own room and pray in private... Those who pray in a temple in front of others have already had their reward.

Without stating any of my own beliefs, I can say that by traditional doctrine God's House is wherever the Church, a group of believers, meet. We call certain buildings "churches" because that is the meeting place of the church - the people who follow Christ. So, there is your answer according to Christians themselves. No building is God's House. It is only God's House when the human church is worshiping.
Gotta admit, though, by experience I know that a lot of church members are really attached to their building and consider it a holy place. They are wrong. That is an official heresy.
