Is this game still big deal? I've never heard of it.

How exactly do they plan to license the rights of all (or even some) of the classic horror villains scattered throughout the game? If they had such trouble making Freddy vs Jason work, I don’t see how they can realistically pull this off. Despite the inclusion of Wan, I am very skeptical they can do much of anything with this game seeing as it depends so strongly on the classic horror villains.

They will likely only use the (many) characters they've created for the game. Classic villains were only added latter as DLC.

Is this game still big deal? I've never heard of it. Not sure it ever really qualified as a genuine Big Deal, but it has remained relatively popular for several years. In comparison to the similarly themed Friday The 13th game, which was released roughly around the same time, it has endured. However, that could be because the F13 game was stunted due to the legal issues facing the franchise. Dead By Daylight kinda emerged as the winner of that genre by default, but that is not to say the game is without merit.
