This the one with the dragons? Never got around to see it. For some reason I always put it off. Still haven't seen it.

Yes, I made one of those anniversary threads about it last year. I saw it a few times as a rental and thought it was decent. Looking back, the dragon effects seem better than they have any right to be.

I remember when it was released, and it looked good, but I never saw it.

I heard it wasn't very good, though part of me suspects it was the movie that inspired "How to Train Your Dragon"

Matthew McConaughey is great in this.

I thought the concept was rather chraming, but what a disappointingly dull movie it turned out to be.

I found the dvd in a box the other day and was thinking of watching it. All I remember is it's about dragons appearing in modern day.

I bought the DVD when it first came out, watched it a few times and really liked it. Haven't seen it in years though. It was a real departure for McConaughey at the time.

Saw it at the cinema when it was first released.
I remember it being okay.

This could be a case where the marketing hurt it at the box office. I mean even the poster implied an all-out war of apocalyptic proportions between mankind and dragons. When the movie is actually set after the apocalyptic war and it's mentioned in narration that humans apparently lost badly.

I never saw when released or since, but noticed last week whilst colour co-ordinating and re-organising the Blade Archives, that I have a copy. I will probably now watch this within next 4 or 5 days.
I think Matthew Mac is great and watchable and I like me a dragon or two.

An asylum escapee on this thread literally just called Reign of Fire "dull" It may not have been the most happiest movie but dull it ain't.

I mostly remember it for its unintentional comedy, to be honest. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't call it good. It's hilarious that it stars two Oscar winners.
