She didn't really win did she?
I mean I know she beat Ares, but ask yourself what would have happened if he hadn't of revealed himself to her. It's not like she was onto him. She had no clue that was Ares at all. And by then she was broken. Basically she was on his side, largely hopeless for humanity. He should have just left her alone and continued sewing the seeds of war. She even thought she'd already killed Ares and the fighting was just who human's were.
So she didn't win, Ares was up 1-0 and put in two own goals for the loss.
What was the second own goal you ask? He gave her the force lightening to kill him with. So after the sword gets crushed and we learn she is the god killer weapon, not the sword, we're then waiting for Diana's power to kill him. But what does that mean? Can she just knee him in the balls and he's dead simply because she's the weapon? I have no idea what about her can kill him when nobody else can, and I still don't. What happens is she absorbs his attack on her and kills him with it. So did she kill him? It kind of seems like he killed himself. It was his power, not hers. What was she going to do if he hadn't have used the force lightening on her?
IDK. It was ok, but the most epic part about it was the speech she gave to the guy who wasn't Ares. "In the name of" and whatever she said exactly I can't remember, but that was awesome. It's just that it was sort of wasted on the wrong guy. I get why, but still it lost the impact.
