You are not required to drive, you have ample arm space and lighting, 8 hours each way. I would bring, at the very least: Magic Kingdom For Sale: Sold The Elfstones of Shannara I love those 2 book and have not reread them in ages.

I would not bring a physical book, i would bring an audio book, and since its 8 hours each way, so 16 hours i would bring Silmarillion, and the Silmarillion audio book is 14 hours and 49 minutes.

Dang. I love reading in a car, on a boat, on a train, and on a plane. Lol No motion sickness. Sorry for you all. π Anywhere but in a moving car is ok ... Always read when commuting on subway, buses and ferries ... it helped to avoid making eye contact with the crazies ! Can read on planes ... just not in a moving car.

I get headaches when reading in a moving car, so I would probably take an audio book.

Dang so many of my fellow readers and their motion sickness affliction! Fortunately, no support group is needed ... we just do not read while in a moving car. As a plus, we get to see more of the scenery than the "readers" do.

Catman gets carsick if he tries to read while riding in a car. Me too, although I never feel sick reading whilst on a bus, curiously.
