2-0
Well that was unexpected, but impressive.
Lets see if they can hold on to the lead.

Scotland wins the game 2-0
Impressive win, i don`t really follow the Scottish national team, but that must be one of the most impressive wins they have done in a long time.

Is the wretched thing over now? They should do this turgid nonsense in the off season.

I didn't want to say anything because I've had this discussion before, but I fully agree. I am sure the billionaire owners of the richest clubs would love to get rid of international football, but I fervently hope they don't succeed - not while I am breathing at least.

I can assure you it's club before country for pretty much all football supporters. International football is a balls ache that should happen outside the domestic season. Last weekend, Man Utd loanee Charlie Savage earned himself Forest Green Rovers legend status among our fans simply by turning down an international call up, and choosing to stay and play for us.

I know, and as I've said it before, I would much rather see my club win the league than my country win the World Cup. On the other hand I will gladly wake up at 6 in the morning to watch a World Cup round-of-16 match between two countries I have no particular attachment to, whereas you couldn't pay me enough to sit in front of the TV to watch a Champions League final between Manchester City and Real Madrid.

In this country, there is only one football side that produces any sort of genuine fervour. And it’s the Socceroos. Across most of Asia, Africa and the America’s - it’s the national sides that generate the majority of the interest in the game. This attitude that international football detracts from the ‘real’ sport - club football - forgets how important international competition truly is. Why is association football more popular than American or Australian football ? I’d argue International competition.

The result was really bad for Norway, if Scotland beats Norway in the next qualifying game, it will make it very hard for Norway to get second place, almost impossible.

Anyone know why Scotland didn't use their new retro kit in the Spain game? They wore it against Cyprus but reverted to their normal kit against Spain... Vs
