Hi, your help is needed please. The poster * Doghouse6 - an erudite and polite longtime regular on the Classic Film Board, is lost in limbo over on IMDB1 and cannot find his way back to this forum, and not for lack of trying. * imdb2.freeforums.net/user/52 . He's sad, and desperate to return, but has experienced the following difficulties. I shall quote him, and hope you will return to this thread and alleviate his plight by telling me what he needs to do to return to the Classic Film Boards and the friends there he has made over time.

"I tried to log in at the old site just to reply to Chalice_Of_Evil and express gratitude for birthday greetings.
The login page came up with the info stored in my browser (as always), and I got a very polite message telling me that my account had been linked to my Proboards global account (whatever that is), and that if I had an existing IMDB2.whatever account, I should log in with my username. Which I try, and then get a message telling me that "The account you are trying to link has already been upgraded or linked. Please login with your email address."
When I try that, I get this: "The username you entered was invalid. Usernames do not have spaces or special characters. Please make sure you are entering your forum username, not display name." And of course, my email has "special characters." They all do: "@." So I enter my username, and it takes me back to the previous message." Doghouse6.
