I'm betting we'll get a series on Gacy. Bundy? I hope not. He's been done to death. (No pun intended.) Possibly one on the Night Stalker? What case would you like to see covered?

Charles Ng, but only if he's played by Henry Zebrowski.

Charles Ng, but only if he's played by Henry Zebrowski. Nice choice. I've watched "The House on the Hill" based on him and his partner. I remember the real footage of a Woman on video was really hard to watch on a Crime program.

After looking at that link and googling the actor's name, I see that that suggestion was a joke. The actor is from the unbearable podcast Last Podcast on the Left.

I'll take your word for it. I don't really listen to any Podcasts. But Leonard Lake and Charles Ng were monsters. Pretty odd how they were able to find eachother and were both Psychos. A match made in Hell. Charles seemed to enjoy watching and being the passive one.

But I'd guess based on the first version that they'd use a more well known, headline grabbing story.

Season 2 will focus on the Menendez Murders. Meh! This was already done in two made for TV movies and a "Law & Order" miniseries. What more can be said? The miniseries focused on the two men being abused by their Father.
I was hoping it would focus on Gacy.

Well... there were already at least 4 movies about Jeffrey Dahmer and this show still made probably the definitive dramatized account of that story. There's interesting ground to be covered here. I did think they were gonna do a Gacy thing too. Ryan Murphy loves gay characters, obviously, and they did that scene with Gacy in the Dahmer season, which was completely pointless if it didn't lead into the follow up.

I'm not sure there's alot to mine from this story like Dahmer. The sexual abuse angle was covered in the Lifetime TV movie and the "Law & Order" miniseries. So unless I'm missing something I don't see them mining for Gold here. The thing is with Dahmer there were still survivor's. Neighbors, His Dad, etc. that could corroborate what Dahmer did. We are only left with the Brothers and Relatives. Their Parents aren't around to tell their side of the story. And that's a big issue I had with the alleged sexual abuse angle. (And I know an alleged Menudo connection has been rumbled about.)

I haven't seen the lifetime movie or the law and order miniseries, and I'm guessing most people who will watch the series will be in the same boat. But it didn't reallt occur to me until you mentioned the victims that this seems more like an 'American Crime Story' kinda thing. I'd assumed that this show would continue to be about serial killers, but my guess is that this will take a look at the boys parents' and specifically the father's accusations of abuse and assault, and his shady business dealings in the entertainment industry... and (to leap to a conclusion) cast him as the 'monster' of the title. Maybe American Crime story is dead on FX with Ryan Murphy's new Netflix deal and he's just gonna just keep doing whatever stories he would have done on that series but with this new title under the Netflix banner.

Yeah now that you mention it. Next season of "American Crime Story" will be about Studio 54. Which will be more about the Financial scandal etc. and maybe one death. (I think one person died in a air vent?) It's not a typical case for the show. I guess since the Menendez case has already been done before it's probably easier to get the rights to do it. Plus the fact the Parents are dead. (Murphy was sued by Olivia de Haviland for her portrayal on "Feud". But she died in 2020. If anything happened with it I dunno.)
