Bad movie with a beautiful star and an equally beautiful score. I am 20 minutes into the movie and so far it is very stupid, but sort of entertaining. Peter Cook's performance is awful so far. |

Has sort of a bad movie charm to it that kept me from disliking it more. Jerry Goldsmith's score is good and I enjoyed Faye Dunaway's campy performance as the villain.

The movie becomes an absolute bore very quickly imo. The bad movie charm lasted 30 minutes. The stuff with her in school was fun, but the focus on that lasted all of 10 minutes. |

Did you finish it? It just ended. I like the phantom zone part. That is the only scene I like after the first 30 minutes. |

Yeah, I think the movie is terrible. The story is just a big nothing and so are the characters. Zoltar is the only character who is even remotely interesting, as incompetent as he is. |

Dunaway I can understand not liking her performance, but I thought she was the most entertaining part of the film. The only redeeming thought I had was at least it looked & felt in the same continuum as the Reeve movies. I haven't watched it since the 80's & I don't plan ever again.

Its not a very good movie
But its not the worst movie i have seen.
And Helen Slater is easy on the eyes.

Like several other female lead superhero movies. Great lead actress with a strong supporting cast and a lousy script.
