Can any kind person explain how I can import picture files (gif, jpeg, pdf, etc) from my laptop to WhatsApp on my phone?
I know it is possible because I have to do it twice a month and I pay the lady in the local photocopy shop to do it for me and it takes her seconds. I do not begrudge her the pittance I gve her but it is sometimes inconvenient to have to dress and go out in the heat. I am old and sick and live in the Caribbean.
If you can help, write as if for a backward eight-year, with minimal jargon. I am a complete luddite.

If you connect your laptop to the phone via a USB cable you can put the images onto the phone, perhaps create a new folder, then open the images on WhatsApp. Or you could email them to yourself or upload them via Google Images. Once the photos are on the phone you can open and send them via WhatsApp.
Hope that helps.

You can also download WhatsApp Desktop App on your laptop www.whatsapp.com/download Step 1: Download Step 2: Open Whatsapp on your laptop. Then open Whatsapp on your phone > go to settings >linked devices, scan the QR code on the laptop screen to login. Step 3: On Whatsapp laptop, send any document you want to yourself. You should immediately see the file on your phone's Whatsapp. Step 4: Download the file on your phone easily
