If there's a good action choreographer, then yes. Save for a few seriously trained fighters like Michael Jai White, Jason Statham, JCVD, all movie fighting implores suspension of belief. Even Colin Firth kicked some ass in the Kingsman. That's the magic of movies.
To me it's honestly no different when it's a female star. |

I saw “The Mother” (Jennifer Lopez) tonight.
I thought it was ok.
I liked Atomic Blonde better.

I think women do well in these movies. Ana De Armas is good. She was in the last Bond movie and The Gray Man. The directors like to dress her in a nice dress with a very high slit in it so that she can kick with perfection sideways while wearing very high heels. It is so impressive to see that one bare leg come out of her dress and see her use it to kick a guy across the room.  |

I don't think anything of it. As long as the movie is good then it's good. Out of the ones you mentioned I've only seen Ava, which was bad. Does Kate Beckinsale count as middle aged? If so, Jolt was a really good one.  |

Is Mary Elizabeth Winstead middle aged? Kate was another pretty good one too. Is 37 middle aged? I'd say borderline. Middle-aged is usually considered 40-60. She looks younger than she is. |

We can give credit to Kill Bill for creating the genre. If 33 is middle aged... I guess by Hollywood standards for women it is.

I would have figured movies like "Aliens" and "Terminator 2" helped create the genre or at least planted the seeds (even though the women in these movies weren't middle-aged). |
