The 4th album from the band, and the first with drummer Nicko McBrain. Best known for "The Trooper" "Flight of Icarus" and "Revelations." Also has some good slightly deeper cuts like the blistering opener "Where Eagles Dare" where McBrain showcases his talent, "Still Life" which mentions the album's title, and the Dune-inspired album closer "To Tame a Land." Fun fact about To Tame a Land, per Wikipedia: "The original working title of the song was "Dune"; however, the band was denied permission to use it, with Frank Herbert's agents stating 'Frank Herbert doesn't like rock bands, particularly heavy rock bands, and especially bands like Iron Maiden'". ![](https://i.discogs.com/VyqY8388sgwjGVc25Z6FQbLLgXlmPgyGL7AkYrfgidA/rs:fit/g:sm/q:90/h:600/w:598/czM6Ly9kaXNjb2dz/LWRhdGFiYXNlLWlt/YWdlcy9SLTE4Mzk4/NDItMTU5MDE1MzU5/My02MTc3LmpwZWc.jpeg)

I admit I have never owned a single iron maiden album. But that will not be a fact for soon anymore. Because I recently have decided that this band... is a band that I should listen to.
And I will listen to this band pretty soon. When I purchase their music.
