"The Meg 2: the Trench", "The Black Demon", and "Maneater" are on the Block. Also another Shark movie is on the horizon from "Deep Blue Sea" director Renny Harlin... I like Shark movies. But I've seen some real bad ones... Here's hoping these don't sink.

Oh, don’t forget Tommy Wiseau’s ‘Big Shark’. Gotta be coming out sometime this year, after it’s world premiere last month. It might just blow away the shark film competition… or sink it.

As odd as it is for Ben Wheatley to be the director of The Meg 2, Tommy Wiseau’s Big Shark is the weird upcoming shark movie I'm most interested in.

Hey I like Jaws as much as anyone but man--what a sign of Hollywood retardation that all they can do is a fucking shark movie and over again.

Have you seen Tintorera? It's a Mexican-British co-production from the 70s. While I can't say it was actually good, it's not horrible either. Does have its moments. You might want to check it out while you're on your shark kick.

They're back…but does that mean they're good now?

They're back…but does that mean they're good now? No. But there was only ever one legitimately good one anyway. There rest are all varying levels of throwaway entertainment. The Wiseau movie looks like a work of art though.

A director for hire job, or would he get to show his talent. The original The Meg was kinda bland, so hopefully this entry is different. The curiosity of Big Shark is how is it going to turn out when Wiseau and co are aware of their own incompetence and playing for it. Kinda like how ‘Samurai Cop 2‘ turned out. It might work out fine, since Wiseau is just a weird guy in general.
