After years of meaning to watch the show, I've started it. I've watched the first entire first season and first three episodes of season 2 so far. I really enjoy the show, but does anyone else feel like the comedy aspect got turned up about six notches between these two seasons? I feel like the show went from having a great balance to perhaps leaning a bit far to the comedy side.

I don't recall the second season being funnier per se, but definitely wackier, at least in episode 5 so yeah maybe.
Season 3 gets darker and leans more towards drama, and season 4 seems to go back to a similar sort of mixture that season 1 had.

I still enjoyed the season. I'm not up to the second episode of season 2, and already I was getting the feeling it was going to be a darker season.

I do not remember any shift in tone. The show has remained pretty consistent throughout. I love the mix of drama, action, and comedy. The series finale is this week. I am anxious to see how it all ends.

Barry loves to go dark, but the comedy is in there. It's a real tragic kind of comedy, though.

Like others, I thinjk it has a perfect mix of comedy and drama. If anything, it seemed like s2 kicked it up a notch in action.
