I totally forgot Bonnie existed...and then also forgot why she would even be visiting Rex in the first place, but he has a kid with Mimi right?
Also this spoiler about Abe mistaking his nurse for Paulina has me confused and scared as to what exactly is going to happen...I hope it's just amnesia-related.

The spoilers make it look like a decent week. I loved how there was little of Wendy, Li, Stephanie and Alex this past week. I’m glad that Sarah is coming back though. The show is really lacking a younger female cast. It’s very male heavy right now and with Martha and Camila leaving soon, they better get some more actresses.
I still can’t believe that Colin survived that fall. He had lots of blood coming out of the back of his head. I get that the canopy seemed to have saved Talia. But I have a feeling that Colin won’t be around much longer. Especially when we have a great new villain in Dimitri. Peter Porte is awesome in the role and I hope he stays long term. It would be great if Lisa Rinna came back and they developed a love story with them but I think she’s too old for him. After all, he’s only 39 in real life.

Is Martha leaving again? why? I thought her and Brandon were on recurring? Ugh. I wonder if they will break up her and Shawn again. I still think it was a mistake for Belle to be hemming and hawing about going to Greece to be with Shawn. "I don't want to bother him." WTF lady he's your husband!
I like Dimitri also, and his scenes with Chad last week were great.
Tuesday's episode was so boring. Why is Justin grilling Maggie like that! i don't care at all about any of those stories but I did enjoy Sarah being back and I thought her and Rex were kinda funny and I actually didn't hate Rex there for a second lol

I can handle Rex in small doses. I liked Eric Winter much better as Rex but he’s moved on to better things. I’m just not sure how I feel about this revolving door lately with Days. They have characters pop in and out way too much. Instead I wish they’d just work with a smaller cast and utilize the old vets like Doug, Julie and Maggie as needed.
Justin grilling Maggie was uncalled for. So, since when has Alex proven himself at all at Titan. He seems more interested in booty calls than board meetings.
Oh, I was wondering if Days is being dropped by your cable provider? I read that one of the cable providers in Canada will no longer be carrying the network that Days airs on.

Oh no! I just checked about the cable provider. It's EastLink out in the Atlantic provinces that is losing W Network (which carries Days). That sucks for EastLink people, but I am with Rogers, one of the oligarchs lol W Network is available separately through a streaming package called StackTV if I ever lost the channel on my cable. I literally have 30 channels and only keep cable because I get cheaper internet with it.
Alex hasn't proven himself at all that is why Justin's rant makes no sense.
As I have mentioned before it's hard to care about characters or get invested in stories when people come and go so easily/frequently.

I have no idea but Mimi has a young child with Rex, I think she is like 5 or something...so it was separate from the abortion.

I completely don’t remember whether Mimi’s abortion was Rex or Shawn’s child? My memory is so bad.

I think it was Rex but she thought it was Shawn? Wasn't that around the time of the black glove storyline?

I completely don’t remember whether Mimi’s abortion was Rex or Shawn’s child? My memory is so bad. It was Rex's. It was at the height of their relationship, and she thought he would be happy about the news, but then as I recall it was a combination of comments he made out of context and I think maybe pressure from Bonnie, that lead Mimi to get the abortion. This then lead to complications that made her infertile. Jan found out or figured out that Mimi had an abortion and blackmailed Mimi with the threat that she'd tell Rex. I think around this time Mimi figured out what Jan had done to Shawn (holding him prisoner, making it seem like he'd broken things off with Belle); and Jan used this leverage to keep her quiet. When Rex found out about the abortion, I believe that's what prompted him to leave town; and she got involved with Shawn - because Mimi, Rex and Shawn were sharing the apartment next across from the loft; and by this point, Shawn remembered what happened with Jan and ended that, but Belle was already married to Philip, leaving Shawn and Mimi to commiserate with each other. When Shawn and Mimi got married, they decided to try IVF; which happened the same time Philip and Belle decided to do the same; and "the black glove" (ie EJ), switched Philip and Shawn's... contributions, resulting in another Shelle baby (which I guess Belle must have lost...?) and the baby between Mimi and Philip, which was implanted in a surrogate. It's a little fuzzy how some of that went down afterwards; I want to say when they realized what happened with the mix up in fertilization, Mimi and Philip agreed to... I don't know, have the surrogate get an abortion or something, but I want to say Bonnie paid for the surrogate to carry the baby to term. I think the surrogate ended up falling down some stairs and dying, but the baby survived... or something. At any rate, the baby ended up in the care of Steve and Kayla, where they called him "Pocket" and CPS thought they were poisoning him, because it turned out he had a medical condition where his body produced excessive amounts of ammonia in his blood. Eventually they figured that out, along with the fact that it was Philip and Mimi's son. But Mimi and Philip decided to sign away their rights, I guess because the child wasn't with the partner they wanted him to be a combination of...

No wasn't the baby Claire? Belle thought Claire was Philip's at first, didn't she?
Man I forgot EJ was the black glove lolol this show!
Also, Pocket was given away/adopted. So that means at some point an adult child of Mimi and Philip's could come to town to claim the Kiriakis fortune...

So that means at some point an adult child of Mimi and Philip's could come to town to claim the Kiriakis fortune... Claire was conceived when something happened where Belle and Shawn were suffering from hypothermia... one of them might have been drowning... or something. I looked up part of the premise - they sought refuge in a barn, which I think subsequently burned down. I forget the why they ended up there, but they were doing the classic, to share body heat we need to be completely nude; and I guess they decided to generate some heat through friction. But by the time they were found, hypothermia set in and neither remembered being together - but Mimi overheard one of the EMTs that found them talk about how they were found; and she put it together when Belle ended up pregnant that the baby was probably Shawn's. By then Mimi was with Shawn and kept it secret so as not to lose him. Kate figured it out too and that might have been where the peer pressure from Kate and/or Bonnie came into play. As I recall, Kate tried to switch the DNA or blood type on file and promptly got caught by hospital security; which was funny. It was only when Claire was sick and Zack died, that it came out that Claire was Shawn's. I think they played it off as, Zach came to Shawn and Belle in a dream and told them or helped them remember....? That seems vaguely familiar. I think Philip left town to reenlist as a direct consequence of learning this; which later gave way to him being wounded in combat, again; and getting a face transplant to look like... himself, since Jay was coming back to play him after Kyle Brandt left. Philip then sued for custody of Claire, which lead to Belle and Shawn taking Claire and going on the run, and the island bs.

Okay, according to the Days wiki, the second Shelle baby, which was the baby conceived in the IVF mix-up, was terminated by Philip, which Belle wasn't aware of. daysofourlives.fandom.com/wiki/Baby_Black-BradyIf memory serves, because it was a high risk pregnancy, I think Belle was rendered unconscious or (probably) in a coma and Philip had to decide to end the pregnancy to ensure Belle survived or protect the baby (which was I think what Belle wanted) and Philip opted to end the pregnancy.
