*These comments relate to the 171 minute cut* Having not seen since the 1990s, this was like brand new to me. By all accounts, this was hell to make. When most of your film is underwater, with Jim Cameron directing, one sympathizes. Michael Biehn went nuts real quick. The visual effects hold up pretty well. The movie seems a bit lost on how to properly end. Such an intense moment with Bud not giving up on Lindsey.

James Cameron likes to make movies with ticked-off women at the front.
Lindsey is ticked off from square one in this movie, but she falls back in love with Ed Harris. Who can blame her.

Watching it again last night, really felt the anxiety during the scene of exploring the sub wreckage.

Another Mr.Cameron movie on my revisit list. I saw this on the big screen many moons back and really enjoyed....so I'm mega intrigued to rewatch 8n the now and see for first time the extended director's cut or whatever it is. I do like Ed Harris in anything, also.
I still haven't seen Piranha 2 yet....but I've got it in the Blade Archives ....so this post-thread is a nice reminder to dig it out.

I don’t care for it. I didn’t care for the cringe karaoke scene.

Been so long since I seen it. I recall liking it though.
