Naturally there's many ways to die. Health complications, natural disasters, industrial accidents, but it blows me away sometimes how many lives are intentionally snuffed out.

It really does, especially when you consider how many of them are unsolved, I think the stats were something like 200,000 since the 1980s, 200,000 families that have never found closure, and that's just in this country.

Yes, it does. And it's existentially disturbing.

No & yes. I dunno, locally, a non-targeted murder will play on news tickers for 36hrs, & seem to amplify dangerous community. There's been a huge rash of youth on youth violent crime since COVID-19 in the Toronto area, with some random youth on adult crimes mixed in. I don't know how to compartmentalize a 12 yr old stabbing a 15yr old to death in a schoolyard.

It does, and it's awful. The other thing that at times really overwhelms me though is thinking about how many children there are that are being mistreated and are in pain. That really hurts me. I think it's time for the Earth to give a great shrug and get rid of all of us and start over again.

I've been watching a lot of "The First 48" on A&E lately. For quite a few episodes - the episode is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Makes me think: What the hell is going on in Tulsa?? Joker's Wilde
