...or are the critics just giving "positive" reviews for the same reason they gave "positive" reviews to Fembusters; out of fear of being called sexists? Given the track record of the DCEU so far, I wouldn't be surprised. Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Suicide Squad were all crap, but critics could rightly declare them as such since these were not female-centered films. Nobody would complain if you criticized those films. But just look at the backlash Richard Roeper took for having the audacity to hate Fembusters.
And before people bring up "Catwoman" and "Elektra", those movies came out over a decade ago. Social media was in its infancy and the media and entertainment hadn't been completely taken over by SJWs at that time.

It's good. You guys are really grasping for anything to try to say that this isn't a good movie, and it clearly is.

It's exactly that. Audiences are eating it up because of girl power. As for the critics, WB paid for the good reviews.

It's good, and definitely head over heels better than any DCEU movie to date, but it's not quite as great as the reviews would make you believe. Good movie, not great.

It's fantastic. 5 stars.
4.5 if I want to quibble about things.
I would put it on par with just about any of the Marvel "origin story" films.

I'd say it's a good movie in its own right that happens to feature a positive female role model. But why not see it for yourself?

As someone who hates both the DCEU up to this point and SJWs (though I'm not some MRA, either), I loved it. Probably more than the critics, who are coming down on the third act and villains (which I thought were fine). The biggest problem I had was Germans speaking English with each other, but that's not something movie-ruining.

I recommend anyone who hasn't watched this film to go see it. It's a great film and a refreshing departure from the other DC films. I have to admit that I was a little surprised by the weekend box office numbers. Even though it exceeded the 65-85 mil expectations, I expected this film with strong reviews and word of mouth to have made closer to 140 mil. Suicide Squad (133 mil opening) and BvS (166 mil) fared much better with horrible ratings and reviews.

well what's the answer you're looking for? If that was directed toward me then I was just making an observation. Unless you have an answer for me? Obi Wan.

And before people bring up "Catwoman" and "Elektra", those movies came out over a decade ago. Social media was in its infancy and the media and entertainment hadn't been completely taken over by SJWs at that time. It's actually good. The 7.5 average rating seems about right (I would give it a little higher). If you are talking about the 93% in rotten tomatoes it means 93% of the critics have it a positive review not that they think it's a 93% movie. On metacritic it has a 76. If you want to compare and see the complexities of it all, Guardians 1 has a 91% but an average of 7.8 wich means less people gave it a good review, but the ones who did gave it higher marks than ww (as of right now ww still has 30'ish reviews less than gotg). On metacritic they both stand at 76. Now Ghostbusters has a 73% barely certified fresh rating but average score is just 6.5 with a 60 mixed on metacritic. Now I still think Ghostbusters had a little bump being all female, but just barely. To me it's a 4.5 even a 5 being generous. So let's assume the same thing happened here (wich I don't think) and take like 10 points out of the rotten tomatoes wich make it an 83% and a full point out of the averages. That puts it at 6.5 and 67. Wich is a better RT and better averages than Ghostbusters got after "the bump". Now if you say Ghostbusters had positive reviews and ww gets better marks than that after deducing "the bump" than what does that mean? It means is a damn good movie, that's what it means (and no I don't think for a minute that it got the same bumping as Ghostbusters)

It's like going from a busted up Pinto with a nice paint job to a brand new Camry. You been riding in a piece of crap car, but now happy to have this nice looking car that runs great. But it isn't a Mustang. Is it just that much better than the 3 previous movies that you have people like DC-Fan thinking it should be nominated for an Oscar for best picture? Really?
