Lemme see… -RCA/Columbia cases trimmed in red with the black/white lettered left side and a spoilerish summary. -The Silver MGM/UA cases with the front cover opened like a book listing the cast of characters. -The Black-banded CBS Fox Video cases (which included pre-1980 United Artist films as well). -The white banded Paramount cases. -The Warner Bros Clamshells with a lengthy (spoiler-free) description about the film. -The White Disney Clamshells.

-RCA/Columbia cases trimmed in red with the black/white lettered left side and a spoilerish summary. It's funny I had thought for a long time that was only for Ghostbusters since the white lettering on the side kinda made it look like ghost letters or something. But yeah, actually all the Columbia releases at the time had that.

I'm really partial to the Warner Brothers ones. You know, with the longish summery on the back and the single frame from whatever the movie was.
Plus they all opened with this:

I liked the clamshells like the ones from Disney.

Those of us who indulged in low budget horror/action/cult movies throughout the 80s will certainly remember Media Home Entertainment.
