1. Would you agree that the information age also known as the internet played the largest part in contributing to the world being a joke?
2. would you agree that the world will not become more of a joke at this point?
In other words the world is already such a joke, that it can't possibly get much worse.
In other words, the good news is it can't get worse.
The bad news is it can't get better either, since the information age is here to stay.
As far as people that developed the internet I would say:
They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should.

There's probably still more room to grow (more stupid that is) but it's hard to imagine it much worse.

Anyone that says the world was always a joke. I would simply say, I specifically remember a time when it wasn't.

Yes. This was absolutely the case with COVID-19. Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it didn't exist. I know quite a few friends who did test positive for it. I may have even had it at one point. However, I probably did not know I had it as I am asthmatic. The symptoms seem to flare up in the summer and fall - primarily because of the change in humidity. I did read somewhere that the amount of COVID fatalities was overstated by 30%. Doesn't surprise me. Media has the ability to hype up anything. However, if we ignore it, it just seems to go away on its own. Case in point - the forest fire situation in Canada this summer. I believe this has ALWAYS been an issue in Canada - it just hasn't had the hype until the trail end of last year. This year, there were more forest fires than ever before. The thing is - we didn't hear about them until the media hyped it up. Funny how that works, huh? And, it can always get worse. Joker's Wilde

If the world is a joke, what is the punch line?
