She (allegedly) started a bunch of fake accounts on Goodreads to give one-star reviews to books like hers that would be released around the same time as her book in early 2024. people noticed the multiple accounts were liking each other's one-star reviews, and they all were giving five-star reviews to the author's own book. The author tried claiming that a friend of hers had done the review bombing, but nobody is buying it.
