Could any CBB ever beat the Detroit Pistons?
On the old board, there was a discussion about whether the 2002 Miami Hurricanes could have beat 2017 Cleveland Browns. Ridiculous with Ken Dorsey as Miami's QB, despite the NFL talent that Miami had. But could any team in CBB history beat the hapless Pistons. I see Detroit's roster and see a lot of great college players. Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Marcus Sasser, Jalen Duran, Marvin Bagley. Put that on a college team and they win it all. Has any CBB team had that level of talent? The Houston Phi Slama Jama with Akeem and Drexler? UNC with Worthy, Perkins and Jordan? The 2014-15 Kentucky with nine future NBA players? I doubt it but I freely admit I know jack shit about the NBA. Show me that roster and tell me they are 2-28, I'd laugh.
And one thing I thought of while I was typing this. How would that 2002 Miami team have looked with the "other" Miami QB, Miami, Ohio's Rothlisberger...

That was a regular nana_strikes thread, wasn't it? Could the best CFB team beat the worst NFL team or something along those lines...

Granted, those Hurricane teams had a shitload of NFL talent. The #4 on the RB depth chart was Frank Gore, ffs. Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Antrel Rolle and Phillip Buchanon in the defensive backfield. A two TE set would have been Kellen Winslow and Jeremy Shockey. Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson and Santana Moss at WR. But the OL, other than Bryant McKinnie, never seen the NFL and Dorsey couldn't stick on a practice squad.

Only if there wasn't a shot clock and the college team sits on the ball. There just isn't a college team with the depth and experience to take on a NBA team straight up, no matter how bad their record.

The Diamondbacks have won a game more recently than have the Pistons (credit - Barstool).
