So here's the deal with me. I've been going through a rough time lately, mental health is a bitch. I won't bore you with the details as I'm not special and I'm sure all of you have things in your life that are struggles. But when I'm depressed, struggling with life, I tend to deprive myself of things that bring me happiness or joy. It feels hypocritical of me to post about Jalen Hurts or whatever here while I was (am) miserable inside. But that's pretty stupid of me so here I am. I barely watch sports anymore. I haven't watched a single minute of NBA, NHL, NCAA BB or FB. The Eagles make me want to destroy my TV and that's after a win let alone this last month of their bullshit. I have hope for the Phillies but 162 games is a lot. So I can't contribute much to current topics and events. Shohei Ohtani signed with the Dodgers? Awesome. I couldn't name 5 other Dodgers - is Kershaw still alive? But if you want my opinion on if I think someone should be in the Hall of Fame or not (Jimmy Rollins - yes, Chase Utley - no), how I feel about myself when I cheat at Immaculate Grid (I'm ok with it), what I thought of the Taylor Swift concert I took my wife to (I knew like three songs going into it and it was fantastic), or what my least favorite current TV commercial is (that fucking Jardiance one), I'm happy to join the discussion. It's nice to see that my Make a Top 10 of Something post is still alive, thank you to everyone who posts there. I haven't looked at any of the other posts yet so I'm not sure who is still here and who isn't, but hello to everyone that's still around. One last thing. There is one poster here who I stayed in contact with while I was gone, I won't name names to avoid embarrassing him but he knows who he is. Thank you for listening and being a lifeline and for planting the seed for getting me to want to sign on here again. Your kindness has had a meaningful impact on me. So with that, go sports!

Excellent! Well, with you being back, not the mental health issues. There are enough threads on this board that have nothing to do with sports or are historically about sports that I expect to hear from you a lot!

Yes! Welcome back brother!! I watch zero sports this time of year and I still pop in regularly to amble around the varying topics of discussion. It is wonderful having you back.
Fuck Jimmy Rollins!!

So Taylor Swift is to blame for your absence, another thing we can all pin on her!

So Taylor Swift is to blame for your absence, another thing we can all pin on her! Lol she is not. Still not entirely my cup of tea but since that concert I've downloaded several of her albums. I will state for the record that "All Too Well (Ten Minute Version) from the redone Red is her best song and one of the best pop songs I've ever heard in my life. I'm not a full on Swiftie but I get why her target demographic likes her so much. I just don't need to see her after every single Chiefs offensive play.

Welcome back Frank! Hopefully the darkest days are behind you. You know the old cliche that there are only 32 NFL head coaching jobs? Well, there are only a few people in the world posting on the sports board of this particular IMDb offshoot; I'd like to think that makes us a tight-knit community and that we can lift each other when each of us needs it.

Good to see ya back Frankie Boy. Was starting to worry those Greeks got ya.
I second the "Fuck Jimmy Rollins".
Are you more of a Devils fan than a Flyers fan?

To answer your unspoken question, yes I still would. Of course you would. The butterfly tattoo is tough to get over, but have you seen her cooking show? Her kitchenability makes up for it.
